Ingredients
For the Patties:

250g ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
For Assembling:

2 burger buns (toasted)
-
2 slices of cheddar cheese (or American cheese)

Lettuce leaves
-
2 tomato slices
-
4 pickle slices
-
Onion rings (raw or grilled)
-
Ketchup, mustard, or mayo (as desired)

Butter for toasting buns
Instructions
1. Prepare the Patties

Divide ground beef into 2 equal parts and shape into round, flat patties.

Press the center slightly so they don't puff up when cooking.

Season both sides with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
2. Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.

Place patties on the hot surface and cook for about 3-4 minutes on the first side.

Flip and cook another 2-3 minutes.

Add a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover with a lid to melt cheese.
3. Toast the Buns

Lightly butter the cut sides of the buns.

Toast on a pan until golden brown.
4. Assemble the Burger

Place lettuce on the bottom bun.

Add tomato slices, then the cheesy beef patty.

Top with pickles and onions.

Drizzle your favorite sauces.

Cover with the top bun.
Tips

Want extra juiciness? Add a small cube of butter inside the patty before cooking.
